The accomplishments of Remington and Kardex include the introduction of the first wooden filing cabinet at the World's Fair in St. Louis in 1894, the first Electro-Mechanical Filing System in the early 60's, and the Industriever 8000 Vertical Storage and Retrieval System in the late 80's.
In 1976, Sperry-Remington dealerized its Domestic Operations and its Director of Marketing founded GARDEN STATE OFFICE SYSTEMS & EQUIPMENT, INC. The experienced service, sales, and support staff of the Sperry-Remington, New Jersey operation became the initial employees of GARDEN STATE OFFICE SYSTEMS & EQUIPMENT, INC. The company's personnel has over 200 years of combined experience and has more installations than anyone else in New Jersey.
